NT Art Month celebrates Edinburgh’s art galleries and their amazing artists. Walk the streets of New Town and explore the world-class offerings on display.

NT Art Month is a month-long celebration of the incredible independent galleries in Edinburgh. The inaugural NT Art Month launched in 2023 with eleven participating galleries and attracted visitors from all over the world. The second edition of the festival will launch on 6 June 2024.  Come and wander the streets, soaking up everything the galleries have to offer – paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, ceramics and bronze editions – then return to your favourite galleries for events throughout the month of June.

NT Art Month features some of the very best galleries in the New Town and around Edinburgh, highlighting international and home-grown Scottish artists alongside prodigious emerging talent. Maybe you’ve lived in Edinburgh all your life yet never realised there’s so much art in the city? Or are you an avid art fan visiting during June? NT Art Month is the time to explore Edinburgh’s wealth of culture and galleries.

2023 Highlights

Our Sponsors

As one of the UK’s leading wealth management firms, Investec are trusted with managing £42.2 billion (as of 31 December 2023) of their clients’ money. Their wealth teams work hard at providing out of the ordinary levels of service to their clients, and with an investment heritage dating back to 1827, they are built for the long term. Investec are the headline sponsor of NT Art Month 2024.

Good Brothers return to support the festival this year from their location on the corner of Dundas Street and Northumberland Street. With old favourites, stately Bordeaux and Burgundy, the Imperials of Italy and Spain, plus half-crazed rural vignerons with massive moustaches, there’s something for everyone at this relaxed cellar space.

Established in 2019 and located in the centre of Edinburgh’s historic old town, Holyrood Distillery takes inspiration from their surroundings and from Edinburgh’s brewing and distillery heritage. They produce one of the city’s only single malt whiskies and an award-winning range of gin – you can sample the gin at the festival launch.

The List are back on board as the festival’s media partner for 2024. With a monthly magazine and an extensive digital platform, The List publishes and distributes information on events and entertainment and is a must-read for finding out what’s coming up.
